Garden sprinklers are some of the most overlooked pieces of garden
equipment – which is exactly why their origin rarely gets a second
glance. Many models on DIY-store and garden-centre shelves are
unbranded trade goods with no identifiable manufacturing location at
all. A handful of Europe’s most established irrigation specialists,
however, are remarkably open about where they manufacture – in some
cases right on the individual product page.
On this page, we present three brands that publicly and
precisely document their production location – in Germany,
Italy and Poland.

Good to know: With garden sprinklers, it’s worth
checking the individual product page rather than the brand as a
whole. Many manufacturers produce different models at different
sites – one sprinkler from a brand might be “Made in Germany”, while
another model from the same brand is “European production” from a
second factory. This article deliberately covers only classic
sprinklers; smart watering computers and drip irrigation systems can
have different supply chains and aren’t covered here.

Gardena
🇩🇪 Mainly made in Germany
+ Factories in Czech Republic
Gardena is by far the best-known name in European garden irrigation
– and one of the few manufacturers that discloses its origin not
just as a general group-level statement, but directly on each
individual product page. Some sprinklers, such as the hose-end
sprinkler, the AquaZoom M, the Aqua M or the sustainability-focused
EcoLine sprinkler, carry the “Made in Germany” label and come from
the factories in Ulm, Heuchlingen or Niederstotzingen, in
Baden-Württemberg. Other models, such as the AquaZoom compact, are
explicitly labelled “European production” – here, factories run by
the Swedish Husqvarna Group in the Czech Republic also come into
play. Anyone wanting full certainty is best off checking the
specific product page of the model in question, since Gardena
regularly updates its range. Gardena was founded in Ulm in 1961,
invented the click-connector Original GARDENA System in 1968, and
has been part of the Husqvarna Group since 2007.
Gardena discloses origin directly on each product page: some
sprinklers are “Made in Germany” (Ulm, Heuchlingen, Niederstotzingen),
others “European production” including factories in the Czech
Republic. Worth checking the specific model.

Claber
🇮🇹 Made in Italy
Claber is one of Europe’s longest-established irrigation brands and,
by its own account, continues to manufacture entirely in Italy in
order to keep full control over its production chain. Both factories
– in Fiume Veneto and the nearby town of Maniago, in the province of
Pordenone – produce the full range, from sprinklers to hose carts and
accessories. The company was founded in 1969 by the Spadotto family
and has been part of the FITT Group, based in Sandrigo, since 2022;
according to the acquisition announcement at the time, production
remained at the two original Italian factories. Claber also runs a
dedicated UK subsidiary, Claber UK, and the “Made in Italy” claim
appears not just on the corporate site but directly on many
individual product pages.
Claber manufactures entirely at its own factories in Fiume Veneto
and Maniago, Italy – “Made in Italy” is communicated both
corporately and on many individual product pages.

Cellfast
🇵🇱 Made in Poland
Cellfast is Poland’s largest manufacturer of garden hoses, sprinklers
and watering accessories, and states clearly on its own site that
design and manufacturing take place at three own factories, in
Stalowa Wola and Krosno, and that the company is fully owned by
Polish capital. Since its founding in 1990 in Krosno as a small
garden-hose business, Cellfast has grown into a manufacturer with
more than 50,000 sqm of production space, today offering static and
oscillating sprinklers alongside a wide range of hoses and
accessories, with its own dedicated UK site at cellfast.co.uk. In
2015, Cellfast won the Red Dot Award for its product design.
Cellfast manufactures at three own factories in Stalowa Wola and
Krosno, Poland – by its own account fully owned by Polish capital,
with a wide range of sprinklers and accessories, plus its own UK site.
